“I had a terrible incident in a chemist once when I was nine months pregnant and holding a six-month-old baby. There was a lady at the till with what I thought was a pregnant belly, so I said, ‘God, you’re as nutty as me!’”
Abbey continued, “She said, ‘I’m not pregnant, this is baby weight from this baby,’ and I just wanted to die. I apologized over and over, but it was mortifying.”
Peter also chimed in on the podcast, admitting he avoids congratulating women unless they explicitly say they’re expecting.
“Even if someone looks eight months pregnant, I never say congratulations until they mention it first,” he joked.
Abbey and Peter have been together since 2006 and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2011. The couple share four children — daughters Sophia and Liberty, and sons Johnny and Jack.
