According to Spanish outlet Sport, the winger is suffering from Pubalgia, a condition that affects the muscles converging in the pubic area and can lead to persistent discomfort and “disabling pain.”
Yamal, who recently featured in Barcelona’s 2-1 El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid, was seen grimacing during the match, highlighting the ongoing struggle with his injury.
The rising star has already missed five matches in all competitions this season due to groin issues, forcing Barca officials to monitor his condition closely. Club insiders fear that the injury could become chronic, potentially impacting Yamal’s development if not carefully managed.
The young talent’s predicament is reminiscent of former Barcelona icon Lionel Messi, who also battled Pubalgia early in his career. Messi, now 38, spoke candidly in 2019 about the challenges of managing the condition, revealing that it limited his training and required ongoing treatment. “Pubalgia is complicated.
