The 54-year-old actress, best known for her roles in Married… With Children and Dead to Me, appeared in the short clip after having her hair colored and styled straight by hairstylist David Stanwell.

Applegate appeared relaxed and smiled at the camera while wearing a black unzipped hoodie over a tank top and jeans.

She completed the casual look with two gold necklaces as she showed off her freshly styled blonde hair.

Alongside the video, Applegate joked about a new mark on her cheek while thanking Stanwell for helping brighten her day.

“Fresh hair color, new weird spot on my cheek haha,” she wrote in her caption.

“Thank you @davestanwell for brightening up my cloudy day. Love you and love to you all out there.”

The update comes more than a month after Applegate returned home following a lengthy hospitalization in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the actress was discharged in August after spending several months in the hospital, having reportedly been admitted in late March.

The exact reason for the prolonged hospitalization has not been publicly disclosed.

It has also not been confirmed whether the hospitalization was directly related to Applegate’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis or another health issue.

Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, commonly known as MS, in 2021 and has been candid about the challenges she has faced since revealing the diagnosis.

Following news of her hospitalization earlier this year, Applegate used social media to reassure fans that she was continuing to focus on her health.

In April, she shared an update alongside a photo of her memoir, You With The Sad Eyes, telling followers that she was “getting stronger and better every day.”

“Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes,” Applegate wrote at the time.

“Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick and I’m getting stronger and better every day.”

She also explained that she would be stepping back temporarily to concentrate on her health before returning with more to say.

Chelsea Handler responded with three heart emojis, while actress Octavia Spencer shared several fire emojis.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards wrote “Beautiful!” and Nicky Hilton Rothschild reacted with a heart-eyes emoji.

Tamra Judge of The Real Housewives of Orange County also praised Applegate, writing, “Beautiful as ever.”

Fans similarly filled the comments with messages celebrating the actress and her new appearance.

Another told Applegate that she looked “as beautiful as ever,” while another fan added, “You look radiant Christina!”

The actress has previously been open about how significantly MS has affected her daily life.

During an interview with People earlier this year, Applegate explained that pain associated with her condition had left her spending much of her time in bed.

Despite those limitations, she said she still makes an effort to get out of bed for her teenage daughter, Sadie. One of the things she particularly values is taking her daughter to school.

“I want to take her; it’s my favorite thing to do,” Applegate said. “It’s the only time we have together by ourselves.”

She explained that she often tells herself to get her daughter safely to school before returning home to rest.

Applegate has also spoken openly about the emotional and physical realities of living with MS, saying that her life does not always have a neat or positive ending.

“My life isn’t wrapped up with a bow,” she said, emphasizing that she wanted to be as honest as possible about the difficult periods in her life.

Her experiences with the condition also feature prominently in her 2026 memoir, You With The Sad Eyes, which was released in March.

In an excerpt published by The Guardian, Applegate described exhaustion as one of the most difficult symptoms she experiences.

She wrote about waking after a full night’s sleep while still feeling profoundly exhausted, comparing the sensation to having gone several days without sleep.

Applegate has also discussed her frequent hospitalizations during episodes of her MeSsy podcast, which she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

In a previous episode, Applegate revealed that she had been hospitalized numerous times since receiving her MS diagnosis.

“For three years since I was diagnosed, I’ve been in the hospital upwards of 30 times,” she said during the podcast.

She described undergoing numerous medical tests and procedures during those hospital visits.

Applegate first publicly announced her MS diagnosis in August 2021. The diagnosis came after she had already experienced symptoms that affected her ability to walk and perform everyday activities.

In 2022, she shared a photograph of her canes and described relying on them as her “new normal.”

Through interviews, social media posts, her podcast and her memoir, Applegate has continued to discuss the realities of living with a chronic illness while maintaining her characteristic blunt and candid approach.

Her latest appearance offers fans a brief but welcome update, with the actress choosing to focus the moment on a fresh hairstyle and a lighter message rather than providing new details about her health.

For now, Applegate has not publicly disclosed further information about her recent hospitalization.

Her latest post instead showed her smiling, thanking her hairstylist and acknowledging the continued support she has received from fans and friends.
