War widow Christina Schmid lashed out at her wealthy husband in a violent, drink-fuelled rage that left onlookers stunned.
A shocking video has been released by millionaire property developer Adam Plumb, documenting a vicious, alcohol-fueled assault by his estranged wife, Christina Schmid. Schmid, 50, a nationally recognized figure who rose to prominence after the tragic death of her first husband, bomb disposal expert Staff Sergeant Olaf ‘Oz’ Schmid, has had her public image further shattered by the footage and her subsequent criminal conviction.
The release of the footage on September 17, 2023, comes as Mr. Plumb finalizes their divorce and seeks to expose what he calls the “vile behaviour” behind her public persona.

The newly released video captures a disturbing incident where Ms. Schmid is seen physically attacking Mr. Plumb, screaming aggressively and making contact by poking and grabbing him.
In a shocking moment captured on camera, she is seen deliberately cutting her own nose with her nail before blowing the resulting blood onto Mr. Plumb’s t-shirt, all while falsely accusing him of assault.
In the clip, Mr. Plumb can be heard desperately telling her: “Get off me – you are a disgusting woman.” Later, as the attack escalates, he yells: “You fing bit me. You fing b***h. You horrible woman.”
This footage corroborates the details of a previous court case where Ms. Schmid was handed a 12-week suspended jail sentence for violently assaulting Mr. Plumb.

The court heard evidence of multiple incidents, with pictures showing a range of bite marks, bruises, and scratches.
Last year, at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court, Ms. Schmid was condemned by the judge for being “the aggressor all along” and engaging in a “relentless smear campaign” against her husband.
The conviction followed a pattern of abuse that included hitting, kicking, and biting Mr. Plumb at their home. As part of her sentence, she was ordered to attend rehabilitation sessions, perform 150 hours of unpaid community work, and observe a 60-day alcohol abstinence requirement.
Mr. Plumb described the terrifying ordeal as “relentless – like a dog coming at you and you cannot get them off.” He recalled one particular attack where Ms. Schmid allegedly hit him “in the balls, kicking me and biting me in the middle of my back.”

He also revealed the extent of her alleged manipulation, noting that on five occasions when he reported the abuse, she would immediately throw false accusations back at him, leading police to be called out multiple times.
In one instance, when his daughter, now 19, called the police, Ms. Schmid continued her assault until officers arrived, at which point she falsely claimed Mr. Plumb had beaten her. Police on the scene reportedly noted she had no marks, while Mr. Plumb was left with visible injuries.
Ms. Schmid’s current notoriety stands in stark contrast to the national recognition she achieved following the 2009 death of her first husband, Staff Sergeant Olaf ‘Oz’ Schmid, who was killed by a Taliban IED in Afghanistan just one day before he was due to take leave.
As the face of war widows after the Afghanistan conflict, the mother-of-two successfully campaigned for improved pensions and salaries for armed forces personnel.

She met with prominent figures, including The Queen and then-Prime Minister David Cameron, and was present to receive her husband’s George Cross posthumously. She also authored a best-selling memoir detailing her grief and activism.
However, Mr. Plumb is now alleging that Ms. Schmid’s public narrative of being a victim masked a private reality of aggression and abuse. “She not only fooled me, but she fooled the nation,” he stated, adding, “I cannot believe now that I fell for it… I was just trapped in an abusive relationship.”
The bitter financial fallout from the breakdown of their five-year relationship, including their 2020 marriage, has seen Mr. Plumb claim Ms. Schmid has financially ruined him, with allegations that she sold his tools and even his boat, leaving him with “nothing and nowhere to live.”

He also brought up the controversial sale of her first husband’s George Cross medal, stating it was “something that you should treasure and not look at it as a monetary thing.”
Despite the traumatic experience, Mr. Plumb has confirmed that he has moved on and found happiness with a new partner.
