Giovanna Fletcher Urges Kelly Brook to Go Naked in the Jungle Shower — and Reveals the On-Set ‘Hack’ Viewers Never See
Former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Giovanna Fletcher has shared a surprising piece of advice for this year’s campmate Kelly Brook — urging the TV star to ditch the bikini and step into the jungle shower completely naked if she wants to stay off camera.

Kelly, 46, entered the Australian jungle earlier this month and wasted no time embracing one of the show’s most iconic rituals.
She was the first celebrity to test the outdoor shower, turning heads in a plunging palm-print swimsuit that instantly sparked social media buzz.
But according to Giovanna, 40, who won the ITV series in 2020 when it was filmed in Wales, there’s a little-known production “hack” that long-standing fans of the show have never been told.

Speaking to The Sun, the author and presenter said many female contestants quickly learned that going nude in the shower meant the cameras would pan away: “Because our year was in Wales, it was very, very different.
They would turn the cameras away sometimes. A lot of women knew quite early on that if they showered nude, they would pan away.”
Her advice was blunt: “They won’t show it. So the biggest tip is: shower naked — they can’t use it anyway.”

Giovanna went on to admit she feels a “shame” that bikini shower moments are still being treated as headline-worthy nearly two decades after Myleene Klass created one of the most memorable scenes in I’m A Celeb history.
“I feel a bit of a shame that – it’s 2025 – why are we doing bikini shots and making it about that?” she said. “That’s not what I’m A Celeb is about, I don’t think anyway. I just think it’s a shame, that’s where we are.”

The podcaster stressed that women should be able to wash without worrying how they look on camera, reiterating that stripping off would offer privacy the show can’t broadcast.
But Kelly Brook seems more than ready to embrace the spotlight. Ahead of her appearance, the radio presenter revealed she packed a full selection of bikinis — all of which were tested by the show’s wardrobe department to see how they appear on screen.

“I’ve got loads of different brands,” she told the Mail on Sunday. “They’ve all gone off to wardrobe to get tested on camera, so they’ll decide for me.”
Kelly first rose to fame in the 1990s as one of Britain’s most recognisable glamour models before moving into mainstream TV presenting. Though she became a household name thanks to her Page Three and lads’ mag era, she said she’s arriving in the jungle with different expectations.
“I’m not a 20-year-old bikini model anymore,” she admitted. “Life changes and your body changes, and I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now, and not comparing me to how I used to look.”

Despite that, Kelly has openly acknowledged the power of a jungle shower moment — and even sought advice from Myleene Klass, whose white-bikini shower scene from 2006 remains one of the show’s most iconic visuals.
“Myleene did talk to me about the shower,” Kelly said. The singer revealed that her famous look wasn’t planned at all: “She said that when she arrived, she actually had to run out and get a bikini.”
Kelly added that she packed “plenty of swimsuits” to avoid scrambling for outfits once filming began: “We had loads of options.”
But she doesn’t believe anyone could intentionally recreate Myleene’s legacy moment. “That white bikini she wore — that iconic scene — that was not a pre-planned thing,” Kelly explained. “I think it would be very difficult to try and recreate something like that. That was fate. That was her moment.”

As Kelly settles into camp, viewers will be watching closely to see whether she takes Giovanna’s unconventional advice — or continues the tradition of the show’s most talked-about shower scenes.
