Viral boxing presenter Lauren Blake plans to travel to Cardiff for the highly anticipated Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua heavyweight showdown.
Lauren Blake, the presenter who went viral after appearing on screen during Anthony Joshua’s victory speech following his fight with Jake Paul, is preparing to brave the cold in Cardiff to watch Joshua face Tyson Fury.
The American presenter found herself at the center of attention last December when she attended Joshua’s highly anticipated clash with Paul.
After Joshua stopped the former YouTuber-turned-boxer, Blake unexpectedly appeared on the screen during Joshua’s post-fight victory speech.
The unusual moment quickly spread across social media, with viewers recognizing Blake as she appeared on screen during the celebrations.
What began as a brief appearance inside the arena turned into a viral moment that brought the presenter even more attention online.
Blake later recalled the unexpected experience and admitted that she was surprised to suddenly find herself featured during Joshua’s celebrations.
“They put me on the screen on Netflix in the middle of his winning speech, which was really random but hilarious,” Blake said.
The presenter explained that her phone quickly filled with messages from people asking whether they had just spotted her during Joshua’s speech.
“My phone was flooded, they were like, ‘Did I just see you in the middle of that speech?’ and I’m in the camera like, ‘Yeah!’” she recalled.
Blake also joked about the reality of being around major sporting events, particularly when cameras are constantly looking for memorable moments.
“We’re there for the clips! We’re going to get all the content,” she said.
The viral appearance was only one part of Blake’s memories from the Joshua-Paul fight.
She revealed that she had been sitting close to the action and had a particularly memorable view of the moment Joshua landed the punch that ended the contest.
Blake said she was positioned ringside behind Paul when Joshua delivered the decisive blow.
According to the presenter, she immediately realized that something significant had happened because of the sound she heard.
“I remember that I had a video, because I was ringside right behind Jake when Anthony threw that last punch and broke Jake’s jaw,” Blake said.
She recalled hearing the impact and initially wondering exactly what had happened.
“And I remember because I was right there hearing it. And I was like, ‘What was that? That didn’t sound right,’” she said.
Blake added that she still has the footage somewhere in her phone and suggested that the video could eventually resurface.
“I should go find that video again,” she said. “It’s somewhere in my camera roll, so that one might have to surface.”
The Joshua-Paul bout remains a significant memory for Blake, but she now has another major boxing event to look forward to.
Joshua is scheduled to face fellow British heavyweight star Tyson Fury in Cardiff on Friday, December 11.
The long-awaited matchup is set to bring together two of the biggest names in British boxing after years of anticipation surrounding a potential meeting.
The fight is taking place in the UK after organizers had initially considered staging the event in New York.
For Blake, the location means trading the warmer conditions she might normally enjoy in the United States for a winter trip to Cardiff.
Despite the prospect of dealing with the Welsh winter, however, Blake made it clear that she would be willing to make the journey for a fight of this magnitude.
The presenter, who has built a substantial following on Instagram with around 1.4 million followers, said she understood why the fight was being held in the UK.
“I understand why it’s going to the UK, so I can’t be too disappointed,” Blake said.
She also acknowledged that American boxing fans have their own opportunities to attend major events.
“I mean, we do get our fair share of awesome fights here in the US, so UK can have this one,” she said, while suggesting that American fans could either watch the event online or make travel plans.
For Blake herself, traveling to Cardiff appears to be an easy decision.
“I would absolutely go,” she said.
The presenter described the matchup as one she would not want to miss, emphasizing the scale of the event and what it could mean for boxing fans.
“That’s a fight that I wouldn’t want to miss because it’s just going to be… just legendary,” Blake said.
Her connection to Joshua’s career has now given her an interesting perspective on the upcoming fight.
She was physically present for Joshua’s victory over Paul and witnessed the dramatic ending from a ringside position. Now she could once again be in the crowd as Joshua enters another high-profile heavyweight contest.
The upcoming meeting with Fury has generated significant attention because of the long-running speculation surrounding the two heavyweight stars.
Both fighters have established major profiles in boxing, and their eventual showdown has become one of the most anticipated matchups involving Joshua.
For Blake, however, the event is also an opportunity to return to the kind of major boxing atmosphere that previously produced her viral moment.
Her appearance during Joshua’s victory speech became one of the unexpected talking points surrounding the post-fight celebrations.
This time, she could be heading to Cardiff with a different expectation: watching the action while knowing that the cameras could once again find her in the crowd.
Whether another viral moment follows remains to be seen, but Blake appears more than willing to face the Cardiff cold for the opportunity to watch Joshua and Fury finally share the ring.
After becoming an unexpected part of the online conversation following Joshua’s win over Paul, the presenter now has another major boxing night on her calendar — and this time, she is prepared to travel across the Atlantic to experience it in person.
