German beauty influencer Julia Beautx has revealed she required hospital treatment after being bitten by a monkey while visiting a popular tourist destination in Thailand.
The 26-year-old content creator, whose real name is Julia Willecke, shared details of the frightening incident that occurred during what was meant to be a dream getaway in Krabi, southern Thailand.

Known for her lifestyle content and beauty tutorials, Beautx has built a substantial online following of more than 4.1 million Instagram followers and is also recognized for her work as an actress and television presenter.
She previously finished as runner-up on the 2023 season of Let’s Dance in Germany.
According to Beautx, the incident unfolded at a well-known beachside monkey trail frequented by tourists.
She described how a small monkey initially approached her in what seemed like a harmless and even charming interaction.

“Suddenly, the cutest little monkey came running towards me and climbed all the way up to my head,” she recalled.
However, the situation quickly escalated. Several larger monkeys reportedly rushed toward her moments later.
One jumped onto her shoulder and began fighting with the smaller monkey perched on her head. Another grabbed onto her thigh, clinging tightly.
The most serious injury occurred when an older macaque bit down on her calf.

“This big old grandpa monkey went to my calf, clung on completely, and just bit down hard,” Beautx said. “He clamped his mouth on my leg. I couldn’t do anything.”
Tourists nearby reportedly intervened, and the monkeys eventually retreated into nearby trees. While shaken, Beautx initially believed the injury was minor.
At first, the influencer chose not to seek immediate medical care, noting she was fully vaccinated. However, she later noticed swelling and discoloration around the wound.
“It was like someone gave me a huge hickey. It was nasty,” she explained.
Growing concerned, Beautx sought treatment at a local hospital. Medical professionals cleaned and disinfected the wound and prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection.

She was later discharged and allowed to return to her hotel.
Health experts warn that monkey bites can pose serious risks, including bacterial infections and potential exposure to viruses such as rabies or herpes B virus, depending on the species.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and travel health authorities generally recommend that any monkey bite or scratch be evaluated promptly by medical professionals.
Krabi and other tourist regions in Thailand are home to macaques that are accustomed to human interaction.
While many encounters are harmless, authorities frequently advise visitors not to feed or approach wildlife, as animals can become aggressive, particularly when food is involved.

Monkey trails and beaches in Thailand remain popular attractions, drawing thousands of visitors annually.
However, travel advisories consistently remind tourists to maintain distance from wild animals and secure personal belongings.
Beautx’s experience highlights the unpredictable nature of wildlife encounters, even in well-known tourist locations.
Despite the ordeal, she emphasized that the incident did not completely overshadow her holiday.
While monkey-related incidents in Thailand are relatively uncommon compared to overall visitor numbers, isolated serious cases have been reported in the past.
Public safety officials typically respond by reinforcing awareness campaigns about wildlife interaction guidelines.

Her candid sharing of the incident has sparked widespread discussion among fans about travel safety.
Many followers expressed relief that her injury was treated promptly and did not result in more severe complications.
