‘Love Is Blind’ Star Kacie McIntosh Reveals Why She Was Absent from the Season 9 Reunion Party

Kacie McIntosh is speaking out to confirm speculation about her absence from the highly publicized cast reunion party featured in episode 9 of LoveIsBlind Season 9.
The former fiancé of Patrick Suzuki revealed in an exclusive interview that she was simply not invited to the group event, a revelation that sheds new light on her tumultuous post-pod relationship.
McIntosh told Entertainment Weekly that she was “very confused” after learning her ex-fiancé, Patrick, was in attendance. “I actually reached out because I heard he got invited and I was wondering why I wasn’t,” Kacie stated, confirming she sought clarity directly from production.
When questioned about Kacie’s claims, LoveIsBlind Creator Chris Coelen did not directly contradict her. He told the publication that while “generally everyone is invited,” he couldn’t “accurately tell you about how the information was or wasn’t relayed to her.”
Patrick’s Version vs. Kacie’s Timeline
The reunion party served as the platform for Patrick’s version of their split, where he told fellow cast members he hadn’t seen Kacie and asked for the engagement ring back, claiming she then stopped communicating.
However, Kacie is now offering a significantly different timeline and perspective, suggesting her exclusion may have been tied to Patrick’s renewed connection with Anna Yuan, whom he had dated in the pods. At the party, Patrick was seen telling Anna that he would have gotten engaged to her if she hadn’t left the experiment.
“Now seeing [his] and Anna’s connection and then hearing that he did tell her at the group event that it would’ve been her, it all clicks now why I wasn’t there,” Kacie explained.
McIntosh asserts that she was the one who reached out first after filming ended, trying to pursue a relationship off-camera. She says they saw each other in a group setting two days after returning home, but their separate relationship discussions quickly devolved.
The Ring Request: The Final Disconnect
The ultimate breaking point, according to Kacie, was Patrick’s abrupt request for the ring. She revealed that just two days after they returned, Patrick asked for the ring back, citing “memorabilia.”
“The first thing was, ‘Let’s meet up and talk,’ and then all of a sudden it was, ‘Did you and your mom watch the Oscars? Also, can I have the ring back for memorabilia?'” Kacie recalled. “I felt really upset… The moment that it jumped to, ‘I want the ring back for memorabilia, and respectfully I want to be friends,’ I was just like, ‘Okay, I guess we’re done then.'”
Kacie admits that watching the episode and seeing Patrick’s dynamic with Anna made her realize she “was actually the second choice.”
The reality star confirms she and Patrick have not spoken since that final text exchange over the ring, marking more than a year since their last interaction. Kacie is “freaking out” about facing him for the first time at the upcoming LoveIsBlind reunion special.
