Margot Robbie has once again shown her fun-loving side, this time by branding Amanda Holden a “legend” after the pair necked drinks from shoe-shaped bottles during a lively morning radio interview.
The Hollywood star, 35, joined the Heart Breakfast show to promote her latest film Wuthering Heights, which hits cinemas this Friday, but the conversation quickly turned into an unforgettable on-air moment.

Speaking to Amanda Holden, 54, Margot was surprised when the Heart Radio presenter revealed a cheeky gift inspired by Australian drinking culture.
Amanda explained that she had brought along a pair of shoe-shaped bottles so they could do a “shoey” live on air – a ritual famously associated with celebrations in Australia, where people drink alcohol from a shoe.
Introducing the stunt, Amanda joked that it was “nearly lunchtime,” suggesting that the timing made it perfectly acceptable.
She added that as an Australian, Margot would surely appreciate the tradition.

Margot laughed as she replied that she had only just explained to someone what a shoey actually was, before Amanda dramatically unveiled the novelty bottles.
One of the shoe-shaped bottles contained beer, which Amanda handed to Margot, while the other was filled with gin for herself.
Making sure her guest was comfortable, Amanda pointed out that there was a non-alcoholic option available.
Margot, however, didn’t hesitate, responding with a grin that she would “obviously” go for the real thing.
Calling the moment “a very elegant shoey,” Margot joked that it was far more glamorous than the usual version, which often involves “some mangy old sneaker.”

As the pair clinked their unusual drinking vessels and took a sip, Margot praised Amanda, calling her a “legend” and thanking her for the unforgettable experience.
Beyond the playful antics, Margot also spoke passionately about Wuthering Heights, revealing that the film has already received glowing reactions from those close to her.
She shared that several friends who have seen the film more than once are eager to watch it again, with one even flying to London for the premiere simply to experience it another time.
The actress went on to heap praise on director Emerald Fennell, highlighting the supportive environment she created on set.
According to Margot, Emerald encouraged the cast to be emotionally open and fearless in their performances.

Margot explained that she never felt she was going too far, trusting that the director would guide her and protect the final result during editing.
She described the experience as one where she felt safe giving everything she had.
The interview also touched on a more serious topic from earlier in Margot’s career.
The actress recently revealed that, very early on, an unnamed male co-star gave her a book titled Why French Women Don’t Get Fat.
Margot recalled being shocked and offended, saying she felt the gift essentially told her to eat less. She described her reaction as one of outright anger, making it clear that the gesture was completely inappropriate.

Margot emphasized that the incident happened “really back in the day” and long before she became a major Hollywood name.
She also stressed that the actor was not an A-lister and suggested she has no idea where he is now, shutting down speculation from fans eager to identify him.
Since those early days, Margot Robbie’s career has gone from strength to strength.
After appearing in the period drama Pan Am between 2011 and 2012, she landed her breakthrough role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013.
Since then, she has become one of the most in-demand actresses in the industry, working with top directors and global stars.
Despite her success, moments like her Heart Radio appearance show that Margot remains down-to-earth, playful, and unafraid to laugh at herself.
From serious reflections on her career to downing a beer shoey on live radio, the actress continues to charm fans across the world.
Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden airs weekdays from 06:30 to 10:00 across the UK and on Global Player.
