Kelly Stafford shared a glimpse of her pregame celebration as the Rams returned to SoFi Stadium and Matthew Stafford delivered four touchdown passes.
Kelly Stafford found a festive way to celebrate the Los Angeles Rams’ return to SoFi Stadium, sharing a glimpse of her pregame activities with her social media followers before the team delivered a dominant performance against the New York Giants.
The wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has frequently shared moments from her life with her husband, family and friends online, and her latest Instagram post offered followers a behind-the-scenes look at the excitement surrounding the team’s first home game of the season.
Kelly Stafford’s celebration appeared to include a round of shots before kickoff.
In an Instagram post shared Thursday, Kelly included several photos from the Rams’ home opener. One of the images showed her with a group of people as they appeared to raise shot glasses together in a pregame toast.
Kelly could be seen toward the top of the group, appearing to participate in the toast while holding what appeared to be a shot of Tito’s vodka.
The social media post was captioned, “Extra slice of home at the home opener! 💙💛,” with blue and yellow heart emojis representing the Rams’ colors.
The occasion gave Kelly plenty of reasons to celebrate.
The Rams were playing their first game of the season at SoFi Stadium, and the team made the homecoming especially memorable by producing a convincing 28-6 victory over the Giants.
Matthew Stafford was at the center of the performance.
The veteran quarterback completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns, helping the Rams control the game and giving the home crowd a performance to remember.
Stafford’s four touchdown passes also added another milestone to his NFL career.
The Rams quarterback moved to No. 6 all time in passing touchdowns, further adding to his long list of accomplishments during his career.
For Kelly Stafford, the game provided an opportunity to celebrate not only the Rams’ home opener but also her husband’s performance on the field.
The pregame festivities were part of a busy period for Kelly, who has previously shared celebratory moments with her followers.
She has been open about documenting special occasions on Instagram, including birthday celebrations and events involving her family.
Her latest post once again showed the more personal side of life surrounding an NFL game.
While fans typically see players preparing on the field before kickoff, Kelly’s photos offered a glimpse at some of the social activity happening away from the action.
The image featuring the group toast quickly stood out among the photos because it showed Kelly embracing the festive atmosphere before the Rams took the field.
The timing of the celebration was particularly fitting given the importance of the game for Los Angeles.
After playing on the road to begin the season, the Rams finally had the opportunity to play in front of their home supporters at SoFi Stadium.
The Giants were unable to keep pace, and Los Angeles eventually pulled away for the 28-6 victory.
Matthew Stafford’s performance was one of the biggest highlights.
His 327 passing yards demonstrated his ability to move the ball consistently throughout the game, while his four touchdown passes provided the finishing touch to an impressive offensive showing.
The performance also gave Rams fans another reason to be optimistic about what they could see from their veteran quarterback during the season.
Kelly Stafford has remained a recognizable presence around the Rams throughout her husband’s career, and her social media posts regularly attract attention from fans interested in the couple’s life away from the football field.
Her latest Instagram update was no exception.
The post combined photographs from the home opener with a short caption celebrating the Rams’ return to Los Angeles.
The shot with the group added a lighthearted element to the post and showed the celebratory mood surrounding the team before the game.
Of course, the real celebration came once the Rams took the field.
Los Angeles dominated the Giants and finished with a 22-point margin of victory.
Matthew Stafford’s four touchdown passes were particularly significant as the quarterback continued to build on his career numbers.
The Rams’ performance also meant that Kelly Stafford and the rest of the home crowd had plenty to celebrate after kickoff.
However, Kelly will not have another opportunity to watch the Rams play at SoFi Stadium this weekend.
Following the home opener, Los Angeles is heading to Denver for its next matchup against the Broncos.
That means the atmosphere will shift from the familiar surroundings of SoFi Stadium to a road environment for the Rams’ next game.
Still, the memories from the home opener are likely to last for a while.
For Kelly Stafford, the day included a pregame gathering, a group toast and a front-row view of her husband putting together a major performance.
Matthew Stafford finished the game with 327 passing yards and four touchdowns, while the Rams secured a 28-6 victory over the Giants.
The combination made for a memorable return to SoFi Stadium.
Kelly’s Instagram post gave her followers a glimpse of the celebrations surrounding the occasion, showing that the excitement began well before Matthew Stafford and the Rams took the field.
As the Rams move on to their next game in Denver, the team will look to build on the momentum created by its impressive home-opening victory.
For now, however, the spotlight remains on the successful return to SoFi Stadium — and Kelly Stafford’s pregame toast that helped capture the celebratory mood surrounding the Rams’ first home game of the season.
