The Stranger Things star confirmed she is now Millie Bonnie Bongiovi, just months after she and Jake Bongiovi announced the adoption of their first child.
Millie Bobby Brown has revealed a major personal update, announcing that she has officially changed her last name following the adoption of a baby girl with husband Jake Bongiovi.
The 21-year-old actress, who recently returned to screens in the first volume of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, shared the news during a light-hearted interview with VT alongside co-star and close friend Noah Schnapp.
Brown married Jon Bon Jovi’s son, Jake Bongiovi, in 2024. In August, the couple announced via Instagram that they had welcomed their first child together through adoption, describing the moment as a new beginning and asking fans to respect their privacy.
During the interview, Noah was asked whether he knew Millie’s full name and confidently responded, “It’s Millie Bonnie Brown.” Millie jokingly corrected him, prompting a humorous exchange that ultimately revealed the truth.
After several attempts, she instructed Noah to “drop the Brown,” confirming that her full name is now Millie Bonnie Bongiovi. Her reaction sent both actors into laughter, marking the first time she has shared her updated legal name publicly.
The reveal also confirmed that Brown has officially taken her husband’s surname and chosen to remove her own—something many fans had speculated about since the couple’s wedding.
Earlier this year, the Enola Holmes star shared that her middle name is Bonnie, something she had never publicly disclosed before. During a conversation with BuzzFeed UK, she explained that the familiar stage name “Bobby” was originally chosen “just for fun.”
Millie and Jake were first romantically linked in 2021 and announced their engagement two years later. In May 2024, the pair exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony attended by family—including Jake’s famous father, music icon Jon Bon Jovi.
They later celebrated with a larger wedding at Villa Cetinale in Tuscany several months later.
In August, the actress shared a heartfelt statement confirming that they had adopted a baby girl:
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
The couple has since been spotted out in New York City pushing a stroller, and Millie later posted several images showing glimpses of their new family life.
Brown also confirmed that Noah Schnapp has become the godfather of their daughter, explaining in a recent interview that both he and their Stranger Things cast mates have shown immense love toward the newest member of the family.
She noted that Sadie Sink is “very maternal” and added that the entire cast becomes “soft and gooey” around the baby.
In a conversation with British Vogue, the actress opened up about parenting with Jake and praised his devotion as a father.
“We are 50-50 on everything… He is just the most amazing dad,” she said.
Looking to the future, she confessed that she hopes to have a large family, noting that both she and Jake come from households with four children.
Millie is also currently celebrating the release of the highly anticipated final season of Stranger Things. Volume One, consisting of four episodes, arrived on Netflix on November 26.
