Miss Universe Chile Inna Moll apologizes after a controversial clip shows her mimicking drug use at the global pageant.
Beauty queen Inna Moll, who is representing Chile at the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 pageant, has come under fire after sharing a controversial video that appeared to show her pretending to snort powder during a training camp in Thailand.
The 28-year-old model, who boasts over 1 million Instagram followers, posted the clip to her Instagram Stories, where it quickly went viral and sparked outrage among pageant fans and social media users.

In the video, Inna is seen dabbing makeup powder onto her wrist as Shakira’s “Addicted to You” plays in the background. She then appears to snort the powder, before the clip cuts to her fully dressed in a glittering gown and sash, seemingly ready for competition.
The clip was meant to be lighthearted, but it drew sharp criticism online.
Many fans accused the Chilean contestant of showing poor judgment during one of the world’s most respected beauty contests.
One viewer commented, “I understand it’s an online trend, but you’re in a pageant that represents so much more.” Another added, “Remember that many young women look up to you.” A third wrote, “Her behaviour leaves much to be desired.”
After the backlash, Inna took to social media to explain her side of the story and apologize to fans. She revealed that the video idea came from her makeup artist, and she had initially hesitated to film it.

“The makeup artist told me, ‘Record this,’” she said in a statement reported by What’s The Jam. “I don’t know if it was because of the language barrier that we didn’t understand each other very well. I kept saying ‘no,’ and he kept insisting. With everything going on, I didn’t refuse. I should have said no.”
The model expressed regret for her actions and acknowledged that the video was inappropriate, especially in the context of Miss Universe. “I want to apologise to everyone who felt offended,” she continued. “The video is up there, and I’m very sorry. I love you all very much… this is just the beginning, and I’m super happy to be here.”

Despite her apology, some pageant experts have warned that the incident could harm Inna Moll’s chances in the upcoming competition, where contestants are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and conduct.
Miss Universe is not only a beauty competition but also a platform that celebrates leadership, advocacy, and empowerment.
Participants represent their countries and the values of the organization, which emphasizes integrity and positive influence.

Miss Universe 2025 will be held on 21 November at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Thailand. Last year’s winner, Victoria Theilvig of Denmark, will crown her successor at the event’s conclusion.
As the controversy continues to circulate online, Inna’s fans hope her heartfelt apology will help her move past the incident and focus on representing Chile with grace and confidence on the global stage.
