Presley Gerber’s ex-girlfriend Charlotte D’Alessio shared an emotional tribute after the model died at 27, remembering their “pure love.”
Presley Gerber’s former girlfriend Charlotte D’Alessio has shared an emotional tribute following the model’s death at the age of 27.

D’Alessio, 28, dated Gerber for around two years beginning in 2018 and looked back on their relationship in a series of intimate photographs shared on social media.
The Canadian model described the relationship as a “pure love” while expressing her anger and sadness over Gerber’s death.
“Shared a pure love with you & for that I thank & honor your life. You deserved more time. You deserved more life.

Very angry ab this,” D’Alessio wrote alongside a photograph of the pair embracing.
She later shared another black-and-white photograph showing the former couple hugging.
“Love you Pres. always. Up there, down here. don’t ever doubt that. we all love you so much. I hope you can feel it,” she wrote.

D’Alessio also included several other memories of Gerber, including what appeared to be a photograph from a costume party in which the pair posed together.
Another image showed Gerber relaxing on a bed while holding a small white dog, while a separate video captured him taking a scenic walk toward the ocean with the dog nearby.

“I will always remember you this way,” D’Alessio wrote over the video.
Gerber, the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on September 20, 2026, at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles.
According to a statement from the Santa Monica Police Department cited in the source material, officers responded at approximately 9:35 a.m. to a report of a possible overdose in the 1000 block of Berkeley Street.

Officers found an adult male deceased at the location. Police said detectives were investigating the death as a suspected overdose and that there was no indication of foul play at that stage.
The investigation remained ongoing, while the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner had not yet determined the official cause of death.
The autopsy had been completed by Monday morning, according to the supplied report.

Gerber had previously spoken publicly about his struggles with drug addiction and mental health.
Earlier in 2026, he had shared details of undergoing an ibogaine treatment program at a clinic in Mexico.
In posts about the experience, Gerber described being frightened before the treatment and said he hoped it would help him confront problems he had been dealing with.

His family publicly supported him at the time.
Cindy Crawford responded to one of his posts by calling him a “warrior” and saying she was proud of him, while his sister Kaia Gerber also expressed her pride in her brother.
Rande Gerber likewise praised his son’s courage and said he was proud of his efforts to find his way through his struggles.
Gerber had also been increasingly open about his mental health in the months before his death.

He launched a series of “Mental Health Mondays” videos on Instagram and discussed his experiences with panic attacks, medication and other personal struggles.
In one video, he spoke about taking medication for night terrors and panic attacks and said his use of medication had fluctuated depending on what was happening in his life.
Gerber also revealed that he had experienced significant losses and described some of his panic attacks as extremely severe.

His openness about mental health had become an important part of his social media presence.
In a 2023 podcast appearance, he described mental health as a major part of his life and said he hoped his experiences could eventually help other people facing similar struggles.
“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that,” Gerber said at the time, adding that helping even one person would be meaningful to him.

Gerber’s death has also brought renewed attention to the impact his struggles had on his family.
His younger sister Kaia recently discussed the effect of her brother’s difficulties on their family in an interview with Vogue.
She described how a serious problem within a family can affect everyone and explained that she had sometimes viewed herself as the “easy” child because she did not want to create additional pressure for their parents.

Kaia also praised her brother for being open about his experiences, describing his willingness to discuss his struggles publicly as refreshing.
Gerber had followed his mother into the modeling world from a young age.
He began modeling at 15 and later worked with major fashion brands including Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein.
He was signed by IMG Models and appeared alongside Crawford in a 2018 Pepsi campaign.
Despite his successful modeling career, Gerber had continued to speak openly about feeling lost while attempting to manage his mental health.

He previously said he had seen numerous psychiatrists and expressed frustration about receiving different medications without always feeling he had enough guidance about how to manage them.
Gerber’s romantic life had also attracted public attention. He and D’Alessio reportedly met through his sister Kaia in 2017 and went on to date for around two years.
He was later linked to reality television personality Lexi Wood and model Cayley King.
Now, D’Alessio has chosen to remember their relationship through personal photographs and messages shared with her followers.

Her tribute focused on the memories they shared and the affection she continued to feel for Gerber.
The Gerber family has asked for privacy following his death.
A representative for Crawford told the Daily Mail that the family was requesting privacy during what it described as an extremely difficult and painful period.

As the investigation into Gerber’s death continues, his family, friends and former girlfriend are mourning a 27-year-old model whose life had included both a successful career in fashion and a very public struggle with mental health and addiction.
For D’Alessio, her tribute offered a deeply personal farewell, remembering Gerber not simply as the son of a famous family, but as someone she had loved and shared an important chapter of her life with.
