Love Is Blind’s Shaina Hurley in “Serious” Relationship After Kyle Split.
Shaina Hurley, known for her appearances on Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 2, has revealed she is now in a “serious” relationship following her pod engagement to Kyle Abrams.
During a recent episode of The Viall Files podcast, Shaina told host Nick Viall, “I’m actually in a relationship. It’s pretty serious.” While remaining coy about her partner’s identity and the length of their relationship, she described him as “awesome” and “nothing but a support” throughout her ongoing Love Is Blind journey.
“He’s been great throughout the whole situation,” she added. “I’m happy.”
Shaina also joked that the timing of her relationship isn’t ideal, given the influx of messages she has received from admirers since the show premiered on Netflix. “I was laughing, like, ‘What a time to be in a relationship!’” she said, noting that many of the men sliding into her DMs are “pro English soccer players.”
Fans will recall that Shaina initially accepted Kyle’s proposal in the pods, despite not having met him in person. The engagement was influenced by her awareness that Shayne Jansen, another connection from the pods, had committed to Natalie Lee.
Shaina and Kyle later faced challenges when their relationship transitioned from the pods to real life, including differences in religious beliefs. Ultimately, Shaina called off the engagement.
Kyle shared a heartfelt message on Instagram on February 17, writing, “No matter the outcome, this special bond I share with Shaina will be forever kept in mind, until the end of time.”
Season 2 fans were particularly intrigued by the love triangle involving Shaina, Shayne, and Natalie. Many viewers criticized Shaina for pursuing Shayne after he became engaged to Natalie, especially during a memorable beach bonfire discussion.
Addressing the situation on The Viall Files, Shaina clarified, “It was definitely shown to be dragged on much longer than it really was with Shayne. Me and Shayne were like cordial friends, we’re cool, but that’s it.”
Shayne confirmed the same via Instagram, stating, “To put some other rumors to rest, Shaina and I are cordial and have hung out in group gatherings with the cast (with Natalie), but we have never had nor will ever have a romantic relationship. I wish her all the best.”
