A shocking new claim has put Sydney Sweeney’s romance with Scooter Braun under the Hollywood spotlight. But the executive involved denies the allegation.

According to a report from Page Six, multiple sources claimed that WME Group executive chairman Ari Emanuel told Sweeney that breaking up with Braun would be better for her professional future.
One source alleged that Emanuel advised Sweeney that if she wanted to be taken more seriously as both an actress and a businesswoman, she should consider ending her relationship with Braun.
The claim has not been confirmed by Sweeney or Braun. Emanuel’s representative also strongly denied that the alleged conversation took place or that he ever told Sweeney to break up with the former music manager.
The reported incident allegedly took place in January, several months before Sweeney signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
Sweeney became a free agent after leaving Paradigm Talent Agency earlier this year.
Her subsequent move to CAA has generated considerable interest in Hollywood, particularly because of the reported involvement of several senior agency executives.
Page Six reported that Braun himself learned about the alleged comments and was upset by them, particularly because he had reportedly encouraged Sweeney to take the meeting.
There is also no known public feud between Emanuel and Braun.
Braun’s company, SB Projects, previously had an exclusive relationship with WME before the company was sold to HYBE. SB Projects now works with United Talent Agency.
Braun has also reportedly played an active role in Sweeney’s professional affairs since the pair began dating.
According to reports, Braun contacted CAA principal Kevin Huvane to arrange a meeting involving Sweeney.
This allegedly came despite Joel Lubin, who heads CAA’s motion picture group, having pursued Sweeney as a potential client for more than a year.
One source described Braun as someone who prefers to go directly to the highest level of an organization when trying to get something done.
However, other sources reportedly played down any tension within CAA, saying the situation was not particularly dramatic.
Another insider claimed that Lubin remained involved throughout the process and was pleased that Sweeney ultimately signed with the agency.
Sweeney has become one of Hollywood’s most recognizable young actresses following her breakout role as Cassie Howard in HBO’s Euphoria.
Her work on the series has frequently placed her in the center of conversations surrounding the show’s provocative storylines and imagery.
