First responders and paramedics administered “advanced cardiac life support” in an effort to resuscitate the actress, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Panettiere was officially pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m.

Detectives investigating the scene stated in a preliminary update that an “acquaintance” discovered the actress inside the residence. Authorities noted that early findings have “not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances.”
