Olivia Culpo has opened up about motherhood, legacy, and the sentimental value of fashion, revealing that she has already set aside an entire storage unit filled with meaningful dresses and keepsakes for her baby daughter, Colette — who is just five months old.
The former Miss Universe winner, 33, welcomed her first child with husband and NFL star Christian McCaffrey in July, and it appears the couple are already thinking far ahead when it comes to preserving memories from this chapter of their lives.

In a recent interview, Culpo shared that she has carefully curated a collection of items she hopes her daughter will one day cherish.
“I have a whole storage unit for her with all of my wedding dresses, my pageant dresses — all of my really valuable keepsakes,” Culpo explained.
She added that her goal is to ensure these items remain intact and well preserved so Colette can experience them in the future, whether as fashion heirlooms or as personal reminders of her mother’s journey.
Among the treasured pieces is Culpo’s wedding dress, which was custom-designed by Dolce & Gabbana for her elegant 2024 wedding in Rhode Island.
The gown reflected a timeless and traditional aesthetic, featuring a high neckline, long sleeves, and a dramatic 16-foot lace-embroidered veil.
The look was widely praised at the time for its classic sophistication and understated glamour.
Also carefully stored away is Culpo’s iconic Miss Universe 2012 gown — a striking hot pink evening dress with long sleeves, a velvet bodice, and a flowing tulle skirt.
The dress marked a defining moment in her career, symbolising her rise from pageant contestant to international titleholder and fashion figure.
Culpo revealed that the idea to preserve her wardrobe came while she was cleaning out her closet at her mother’s house.

While she still owns many of her favourite dresses, she admitted she regrets letting go of some pieces from her early 2000s era.
“You don’t know how these pieces are going to wear and how valuable they can be someday,” she said. “I look back at the clothes that I used to wear, and I miss them.
They’re truly a moment in time, and it’s so cool to be able to take somebody back in that way.”
Her reflections highlight a broader theme that has emerged since becoming a mother — a heightened appreciation for memory, legacy, and the stories attached to personal items.
Meanwhile, Culpo’s transition into motherhood has been met with praise from her husband, Christian McCaffrey.
Speaking during San Francisco 49ers training camp earlier this season, the running back publicly applauded his wife for how she has handled life as a new mom.
“She’s been great, she’s been so cool,” McCaffrey said, admitting he sometimes feels guilty as Culpo takes on more of the hands-on work while he is away. He added that both of their families have stepped in to help, given their demanding schedules.

Despite the busy NFL season, Culpo has remained a visible presence at games, often bringing Colette along to support McCaffrey from the sidelines.
In a recent Instagram post, she shared a touching family moment showing McCaffrey greeting his wife and daughter after a game. Dressed in a red sweater embroidered with the words “Let’s go” and a white knit hat, baby Colette stole hearts as her father leaned in to kiss her and Culpo.
As Olivia Culpo balances motherhood, marriage, and her public career, her decision to preserve her most meaningful fashion moments offers a glimpse into how she hopes to pass on memories — and history — to the next generation.
