Sydney Sweeney Recreates Iconic Home Alone Scene in New SYRN Holiday Ad

Sydney Sweeney has given one of the most iconic scenes from Home Alone a sultry makeover in a new festive campaign for her lingerie brand, SYRN.

The actress, 29, channelled Macaulay Culkin’s unforgettable performance in the 1990 Christmas classic, recreating the famous aftershave moment in a playful new digital commercial.

Sweeney showed off her curves in a low-cut navy blue bra and a matching cropped cable-knit cardigan as she brought her own twist to the beloved holiday movie.

Standing in front of a mirror, the blonde star dragged a razor across her made-up face, mimicking Kevin McCallister’s attempt to shave after being left home alone.

She then recreated the character’s legendary reaction, slapping her cheeks with both hands in exaggerated horror.

The original scene became one of the film’s most recognisable moments, with Culkin’s wide-eyed expression helping cement the Christmas comedy’s place in pop culture.

Sweeney also revisited another memorable moment from the movie, recreating the scene in which Kevin enjoys a bowl of ice cream while watching an old gangster film.

The new advert blends nostalgia with the actress’s signature glamorous style, putting a lingerie-inspired spin on a holiday favourite.

SYRN announced the campaign on Instagram, writing: ‘The Holiday Shop is officially open ♥️ Shop Hibernation Nation early access NOW.’

The commercial follows a series of festive promotional images released by the brand ahead of the holiday season.

Last week, SYRN unveiled its seasonal collection, with Sweeney transforming herself into characters inspired by some of the most recognisable Christmas films.

The actress channelled Cindy Lou Who from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, bringing the colourful world of Whoville into the campaign.

She also drew inspiration from The Nightmare Before Christmas as the brand continued its holiday-themed rollout.

Announcing the collection, SYRN wrote: ‘Welcome to the @syrn holiday shop ♥️ now officially open.’

Sydney’s mission for SYRN

Sweeney launched SYRN earlier this year, positioning the label as a brand designed to celebrate women’s individuality and offer lingerie for a wide range of body types.

The Euphoria star has previously explained that she wants customers to feel confident wearing the pieces for themselves, rather than dressing to meet somebody else’s expectations.

‘The secret is finally out… this is lingerie you wear for YOU, no explanation, no apology,’ she said when introducing the brand.

She added that she wanted to create a collection that allowed women to embrace the different sides of their personalities.

The actress is also aiming to make inclusivity a central part of the label’s identity, emphasising the importance of fit and representation.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine in January, Sweeney explained that her design team was made up entirely of women and that she wanted to see the collection on a diverse range of models.

‘My models are a beautiful range of body types. I’m always like: “I want to see it on every body,”‘ she said.

‘I’m not the only model. I need to make sure everyone feels really good in it.’

She also made clear that personal comfort would remain a key consideration when developing new designs.

‘If I wouldn’t wear it, I wouldn’t want to make it,’ she said.

SYRN enters a competitive lingerie market that includes Kim Kardashian’s Skims and Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty.

Expanding her business empire

The lingerie label is one of several business ventures Sweeney has pursued alongside her acting career.

The star also holds an equity stake in Novig and played a role in the company’s attention-grabbing advertising campaign, which featured her posing nude with sports equipment strategically covering her body.

Novig chief executive Jacob Fortinsky previously praised Sweeney’s involvement in the project, highlighting her contributions beyond appearing in front of the camera.

‘It was a very exciting process to work with her both on the commercial side as well as on the creative side,’ he said.

The campaign added to a growing list of high-profile promotional projects featuring the actress, who has increasingly taken an active role in shaping her business ventures.

Sweeney has also launched her own production company, Honey Trap, as she looks to expand her influence behind the scenes.

Its first project is Hollow, a reimagining of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow told from the perspective of Katrina Van Tassel, a character Sweeney is set to play.

With SYRN’s festive collection now available, the actress is combining her interest in fashion, entrepreneurship and entertainment in a campaign that puts a nostalgic spin on a Christmas classic.
